Temporary Helium Surcharge

APRIL 2024 TEMPORARY HELIUM SURCHARGE NOTICE

As you may be aware, the ongoing geopolitical situation involving Iran, particularly around the Strait of Hormuz, has significantly impacted global energy markets and supply chains.This region is a critical transit route for a substantial portion of the world’s oil and gas, and continued instability has led to increased production, transportation, and supply costs across the industry.While helium is a niche gas, its production and distribution are closely tied to broader natural gas and energy market dynamics.As a result, these external pressures have led to increased costs globally, necessitating an industry-wide temporary surcharge of €3.65 per m3 of helium to be applied, effective from Monday 30th March 2026.You will see this added as a separate temporary line-item when you place your next helium order.

What this means to the cost of the helium cylinder(s) you purchase from us:

• N10 (Small) Integra Helium Cylinder Temporary Surcharge: €9.52 + VAT

• N20 (Medium) Integra Helium Cylinder Temporary Surcharge: €19.02 + VAT

• N30 (Large) Integra Helium Cylinder Temporary Surcharge: €28.54 + VAT

• X47s (Industrial) Helium Cylinder Temporary Surcharge: €31.03 + VAT

In Balloon-Terms, this is adding just under €0.05 cost to inflate an 11” Latex Balloon.
